Some of us weren’t handed this fire by blood but picked it up by spirit, by choice, by vow. And we carry it because liberation isn’t charity. It’s the return of what was always stolen.
I’m not marching for ally cookies. I’m marching because I remembered I’m not free if you’re still in chains, and the only heaven worth walking toward is the one we build down here.

I just told my wife that I would support our entire government in the hands of black folks. They are more patriotic and passionate about how our country should be governed.
Diversity is an honorable value.
Equity is an honorable value.
Inclusion is an honorable value.
And makes us all better, happier people who aren’t consumed by vengeance and hate.
